It is with great pleasure that I announce that Blood Crescent is doing a giveaway for 20 copies of the Kindle e-book before it's official publication in September!The time is nearing, and like all authors I squirm with a mixture of anxiety and excitement at the release of my own book. I wanted to share with you all a little about how this book was birthed, if you want to skip to the giveaway link just scroll down, it's easy to spot. lol, but it doesn't allow entry until August 1st... which is why I am posting this at exactly 11:59 p.m. So, by the time you've clicked on the post, it should be ready for you!
The book was born during a dream where I saw two characters circling each other under the moon, but there were multiple moons and they were changing colors as the characters rotated... floating in the air as they held each other. The colors morphed within a haze of fog surrounding them. Then they kissed, I could feel they were in love, but something was wrong, it was filled with sadness. I was filled with sadness. I was dealing with a lot of depression, working two jobs, feeling useless, feeling stuck, feeling unloved, and this dream came, and I had this overwhelming feeling to write a love story about vampires.
Little did I know, that it wasn't about love at all, but a coming of age journey, adventure, and mystery that evolved from a state of confusion and the deafening feeling of sadness into discovery, power, betrayal, friendship, and not feeling alone... all wrapped into a supernatural story of vampires... energy vampires.
